Grant Men's Soccer 2019: Grant Soccer Camp & Tryout Dates

The Grant Men’s Soccer Pre-Tryout Camp will run from August 12th-15th at Grant Park Turf.  The camp will focus on improving players fundamentals of the game, technical ability on the ball, and soccer-specific fitness.  Each night will finish with small sided games in a fun environment to help prepare players for Tryouts.

payment and medical release form must be submitted via mail or turned in on first day of camp***

Grant Soccer Camp Dates: August 12th-15th: @ Grant Park Turf field
Day 1 Mon: 8/12 6-8:30pm 
Day 2 Tues:  8/13 6-8:30pm   
Day 3 Wed: 8/14 6-8:30pm
Day 4 Thurs: 8/15 6-8:30pm

Cost: 75$ (all proceeds go directly to the Grant Men's soccer program) 
Checks need to be made payable to Grant Athletics Men's Soccer.

Team Tryout Information:  August 19th-23rd 

Varsity, JV, and JV2 team Tryouts: August 19th-23rd @ Grant Park Turf Field.

Monday 8/19: 7-9am & 6:30-8:30pm
Tuesday 8/20: 7-9am
Wednesday 8/21: 7-9am & 6:30-8:30pm
Thursday 8/22: 6:30-8:30pm
Friday 8/23: 7-9am Team selections will be made.

*** If you cannot attend tryouts please contact the head coach.***

All players trying out for the upcoming 2019 season must be cleared through the Athletic office or online at before the first day of tryouts.  

All student athletes need to have a physical on file completed by a Doctor. Students must submit a current approved physical form to the Athletics Department prior to participating in sports. The form will be valid for 2 years, and does not need to be filled out for additional sports within the current year. Generally, students will need to complete these their Freshman and Junior years.  You can pick up a Physical Clearance Form in the Athletic Department or download one at

*Team Training will begin August 26th time and location TBD.

*2019 soccer season starts first week of school.  

*No player will be allowed to participate in tryouts until being cleared by the Grant Athletic office or online.  Please call the athletic office with questions regarding athletic clearance or visit the Clearance page online 503-916-5160 ext. 66115. 

Academic Eligibility
All Freshmen begin with academic eligibility for the Fall Season. For Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, eligibility for sports participation is based on GPA from the previous semester. For the Winter season, eligibility for all grade levels is based on first quarter grades and for the Spring Season, eligibility for all grade levels is based on first semester grades.
